Beautiful jewellery is easy to find, the right jewellery is so much harder.

Walk into almost any jewellery shop and you'll find hundreds of beautiful pieces.

Walk into a professional piercing studio and you will most likely find fewer.

At Eir, that's intentional.

Our collection isn't built around having the biggest selection or stocking every brand on the market. It's built around something much simpler: every piece has earned its place.

We curate, we don't just stock

Every piece of jewellery at Eir has been chosen deliberately.

We don't stock jewellery because it's popular, because a supplier offered it, or because it's the latest trend.

We choose jewellery that reflects the standards we want associated with the studio: thoughtful design, exceptional craftsmanship, long-term comfort, and jewellery made and designed to be lived in.

Jewellery is not just decoration, it something that becomes part of your body and identity, sometimes for years, sometimes for decades.

Whether it's your very first piercing or the newest addition to a carefully curated ear, the jewellery deserves just as much consideration as the piercing itself.

Looking at jewellery through a goldsmith's eyes

Being trained as a goldsmith means I look at jewellery a little differently.

When I pick up a new piece, I'm not only looking at how beautiful it is. I'm looking at the polish, the proportions, the settings, the weight, and how it will sit inside living tissue.

I think about how it will feel after six months.

After five years.

After twenty.

Many of those details are invisible to the person wearing the jewellery, but they influence comfort, longevity, and how naturally the piece becomes part of everyday life.

That's one of the reasons I care so deeply about craftsmanship.

Learning from the people who make it

One of my favourite parts of attending professional piercing conferences has very little to do with sitting in lecture halls.

It's sitting down with the people who actually make the jewellery.

Understanding why they designed a piece a certain way, hearing about the manufacturing process, discussing how jewellery behaves in the body, and seeing how ideas evolve gives me a completely different perspective than simply ordering from a catalogue.

Those conversations shape the way I curate the collection more than any product release ever could.

They also remind me that good jewellery is rarely by accident, it's the result of countless thoughtful decisions made by people who genuinely care about their craft.

The makers behind the collection

Some of the brands we carry are internationally recognised within the professional piercing community.

Others are small workshops run by people I've had the privilege of getting to know over the years.

I enjoy giving smaller makers a place alongside the more established names. Some of the most interesting jewellery I've discovered has come from independent designers who are willing to experiment, refine, and push the industry forward.

Many of the brands we work with have long histories of producing jewellery trusted by APP members and other high-standard piercing studios around the world.

In my oppinion a great collection shouldn't only celebrate the names everyone already knows, it should also create space for the people shaping what comes next.

Bringing something different to Singapore

One of the things I enjoy most is introducing jewellery that isn't widely available in Singapore.

Not because exclusivity is the goal.

Quite the opposite!

I believe people deserve choice, and thats what I aim to offer.

The world of fine piercing jewellery is filled with incredibly talented artists whose work deserves to be seen. If I can introduce someone to a designer they have never encountered before, or help them discover a style they didn't know existed, that's something I genuinely enjoy.

Curating a collection should feel like opening doors, not closing them.

Jewellery made in-house

Occasionally, I'll make or modify jewellery in-house.

Sometimes it's because I can't quite find what I'm looking for.

Sometimes it's because a client has a very specific idea.

Sometimes it's simply because I enjoy making things.

Being able to work as both a goldsmith and a piercer gives me a perspective that's surprisingly uncommon. It allows me to think not only about how jewellery looks, but how it functions, how it heals, and how it will be lived with.

More than just gold

Solid 14 and 18-karat gold forms the foundation of our jewellery collection. Paired with implant-grade titanium posts, it allows us to prioritise both long-term beauty and the needs of healing tissue.

When manufactured specifically for body piercing, solid gold is designed to be worn continuously. It does not tarnish inside the body, and with normal wear it can remain beautiful for many years. Over time, the part of the jewellery exposed to air may develop a slight surface patina, but this sits on the outside of the jewellery and can usually be restored with a simple polishing cloth.

The gemstones are what give each piece its personality.

At Eir you'll find everything from timeless diamonds to colourful sapphires, garnets, opals, Oregon sunstones, and many other natural and laboratory-created gemstones. Some are chosen for their brilliance, others for their subtlety, and many simply because they make us smile.

Rather than limiting the collection to a handful of predictable options, I enjoy bringing together stones with different colours, cuts, and stories. Some clients are drawn to birthstones or meaningful gems, while others simply fall in love with a particular shade or sparkle.

One of my favourites is watching someone discover a gemstone they've never heard of before, only to realise it's exactly what they have been looking for.

There's far more to gemstones than most people realise, from durability and everyday wear to how they're cut, sourced, and set.

Natural or laboratory-grown diamonds?

For a long time, I chose to stock only laboratory-grown diamonds because I believed they were the most responsible option.

As I learn more about mining, manufacturing, energy use, and the complexities behind both natural and laboratory-grown stones, I realise the picture wasn't nearly as straightforward as I first thought.

Now I offer both, and that might change again as I keep learning and new information becomes available.

Rather than telling clients there's one universally "correct" choice, I'd rather have an honest conversation about the differences and help them choose what aligns with their own priorities.

The right answer isn't always the same for everyone.

Choosing people as carefully as jewellery

The jewellery itself is only one part of the story.

The people behind it matter just as much.

I choose suppliers who are transparent about their sourcing and who share my values around responsible manufacturing, craftsmanship, and long-term relationships.

I care about where things come from.

I care about who makes them.

And I care about supporting people who genuinely love what they do.

The collection is personal

Perhaps that's the simplest way to describe the jewellery at Eir.

It's personal.

I buy jewellery I would happily wear myself.

Pieces that excite me.

Pieces that make me curious.

Pieces that I believe will still be beautiful years from now.

The collection will continue to evolve, just as I do.

New artists will appear.

New gemstones will catch my eye.

New ideas will find their way into the cabinets.

But the philosophy will remain the same.
